Instacart Lowers its IPO Valuation

According to a filing on Monday, Instacart intends to price its initial public offering at a valuation of $7.7 billion.  Previously, $9 billion was indicated. The last round was completed at a $39 billion valuation in 2021. This is worse than we thought.

While this does not suggest that the transaction will fail to be completed, it is further evidence of the current tepid investor interest in venture capital backed unicorns.
