Core CPI Is A Positive Surprise

Core CPI grew at 4 percent beating consensus estimates of 4.1%.  On a month over month basis, the rate increased at .2% compared to expectations for a .3% move.  As a result, the Fed has some breathing room on its interest rate posture.  Stock and bond markets will respond constructively to this news.
