The cash distribution problem has infected all of the private asset classes, including venture capital, private equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure. Investors have been forced to wait longer for their cash flows from private asset investment funds. While cash commitments to new funds have begun to adjust accordingly, the Rabid Capitalist expects a further contraction in limited partner investments when returns are finally realized from funds launched after 2015. In general, delayed returns are disappointing returns.
