The private asset classes have continued to disappoint investors, according to the McKinsey & Company 2024 private-markets annual report. Fundraising has suffered as a result. Private credit, including business development companies (“BDC”), has provided the best investment returns among these asset classes. Our BDCs, which have been among the top performers in private credit, have been rewarded with additional capital that can fuel subsequent investment returns.
