Tesla has a nearly perfect record of making unfulfilled promises. These unrealistic expectations have merely benefited its stock price, distracting investors from disappointing results. Tesla has operated in “fake it until you make it” mode since inception. There have been at least seven major product initiatives announced over the company’s brief history. The electric car has been the sole promise that has come to fruition.
